L BUILDING CONSTRUCTION PROJECT UPDATE 13 02.06.26

Weekly Status Update

  • The contractor began the installation of deck boards and has installed either all or a portion of decking on approximately 10 decks. 
  • The door installers will have the doors installed from the L112 stack of decks to the L103 stack of decks by the end of today. 
  • The drywall crews were back onsite this week and have resumed interior repairs. 



Next Week's Schedule

  • The contractor will continue with the installation of decking.
  • Drywall crews will continue with the interior repairs.
  • The door installers should have the remaining doors installed by Tuesday. 


IMPORTANT – DECK ACCESS OFF LIMITS

This is an important reminder that the rear decks of the L Building have been completely removed, and/or only deck framing is there. 

For everyone’s safety, please ensure that all sliding glass doors leading to the rear remain locked. If you have renters or guests occupying your villa, we kindly ask that you notify them of the absence of rear decks and the importance of keeping these doors secured from the inside.


Should you choose to occupy your unit or allow guests to do so during the construction period, you assume full responsibility and liability for their safety. The Harbor Island Beach House shall not be held liable for any injuries or damages that may occur as a result of occupancy during the construction phase of the project.

Weekly Status Update

  • The contractor has continued installing the deck boards and now has only a few decks remaining to complete. 
  • They have also begun installation of the new siding and installed handrails and pickets on one deck. 
  • The door installers have finished installing the remaining doors, and at this time, all windows and sliding glass doors have been fully installed.
  • The drywall crews are continuing to move forward with the interior repairs.


Next Week's Schedule

  • The contractor will continue with the installation of decking and siding.
  • Drywall crews will continue with the interior repairs.

  • The contractor has continued working on the siding, trim, deck railings, and pickets. 
  • They have also begun installing the new fascia and soffit.
  • The drywall crews are continuing to make progress on the interior repairs.


Next Week's Schedule

  • The contractor will continue installing the handrails, pickets, siding, fascia, and soffit.
  • The painters will continue working behind the siding and deck crews. 
  • The drywall crews will proceed with the interior repairs, and interior trim repairs will begin.

  • The contractor has continued working on the siding, trim, deck railings, porch pickets, fascia, and soffit. 
  • The exterior painting crew has continued to work behind the contractor and has been busy prepping and painting the new material.
  • The interior repairs are progressing. The crews have started to install the new trim as well as interior painting this week.


Next Week's Schedule

  • The contractor will continue with the siding, pickets, etc on the outside of the building. 
  • Painters will continue to prep and paint.
  • Interior crews will continue to install trim and interior painting.

  • The contractor has continued with the installation of new siding, pickets, fascia, and soffit. 
  • Interior trim and painting has continued in units.


Next Week's Schedule

  • The contractor should have the bulk of the siding completed next week. 
  • The painters will continue to work behind the siding crew.
  • Interior crews will continue to install trim and interior painting.
  • The architect will be onsite Monday to begin inspecting interior units and creating the interior punch list.

Weekly Status Update

  • The contractor continued with the installation of new siding, pickets, fascia, and soffit. 
  • The pickets have been completed, and the siding and fascia are expected to be completed by the end of the day Saturday.  


Next Week's Schedule

  • The contractors will be doing punch work along the decks, and the exterior painting crew will be on-site prepping and painting the new pickets,  siding, and trim.
  • The electricians will be back on-site, installing interior and exterior outlets.

  • The painters will be back on-site prepping and painting the new siding,  trim, pickets, etc.
  • The contractor will be working on punch list items.
